Results of the 2010 Tax Default Auction for California Pines

Most of the properties listed for sale in Modoc County's tax default auction were 1-acre lots at California Pines. Here are the results from that auction. Not all the properties sold, but most did.

It's also interesting to see that when you take out the two oddballs ($7,000 & $3,300 lots) and run an average on the rest you end up with an average cost of $1,584 per lot.

I didn't bid this time around because I'm still doing my due diligence on the place but will setup some Google Alerts on these APN numbers to see if they turn up on the land flipping websites. I'm curious to see how many were bought by real estate speculators.
