It seems like even more reason for the California Pines Property Owners Association (CPPOA) to take a very hard look at the CC&Rs and allow some alternative sustainable eco-friendly homes to be built up in California Pines.
There are thousands of unbuilt, virtually worthless lots up there. If county services disappear the lost will continue to loose value.
So the best way to get people building is to step out of the way and let them build small environmentally friendly cabins with features like:
- Composting toilets
- Rainwater collection
- Greywater systems
- Earthen and straw bale structures as options
- Tiny houses on trailers
